Surprisingly, the survey claims that the worst place to be single is bustling New York City, due to the lack of other singles and, we can only assume, the high cost of rents and pricey cocktails necessary to fuel all those dead-end Tinder dates.
Other cities that supposedly suck for singles are Miami, Houston, San Francisco, and Laredo, Texas, because, again, there aren’t as many singles around as you might think.
On a more somber note, its female citizens are also least likely to die of breast cancer. Why it's great for women: It's ranked third on the AHDI—that measure that calculates education, life expectancy, and median earnings for women. And women can spend that extra cash at one of the city's many farmer's markets—it boasts the highest number of farmers' markets per capita. If you live there you will also be very fit; women in D. are more likely to exercise consistently—possibly in one of the city's myriad parks, including the 800-acre Great Falls Park and 1700-plus acre Rock Creek Park.

You’d think that big cities like New York and Miami would be full of singles looking to mingle, right? According to a new survey by Badoo, the best and worst cities for dating aren’t what you’d expect. The survey claims that the best city for singles in the United States is Norfolk, Virginia, because it has the highest concentration of singles in the nation.
(But then again, you have to be OK with living in Norfolk.) It's followed by Chandler, Arizona; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Glendale, Arizona; and Akron, Ohio.
