I am just happy that the updates are starting to pick up in a short form. 2nd person pushes PS button on 2nd controller and that controller comes on as #2 - minecraft does nothing, the "press start to play" or what ever it used to say no longer appears. If you tap or hold the PS button on the 2nd controller it goes to the PS main screen or to the black screen with the options to power off, switch controller # - that sort of thing - so the controller is working but minecraft gives NO options to go into the split screen mode.
Haven't noticed any major changes as of yet (no added items as of yet) but more than likely, this was just to fix a few small coding bugs as the overall patch was about 29MB. The only thing I have yet to try is Rebuild Database from Recovery Menu. PS I'm not new at this, we have been playing split screen since it 1st cam out for the PS3 - and it DOES NOT WORK.
For starters, the power button has been moved down the sloping front and made mechanical, which means no more accidentally turning your console on or off whenever you adjust its position in your media cabinet (a big pet peeve of mine with the original PS4).
Motionin Joy is a small application that allows you to use the Playstation 3 controller, for lots of users one of the most comfortable of all times, with all the games on your computer.
The experience was similar to being in an optometrist’s chair and seeing an image that looked fine to start and then suddenly snapped into enhanced focus as the doctor changed lenses. I was under two metres from a 65-inch panel and in many cases the jagged edges I normally see running through diagonal lines at that distance simply disappeared. Add in the wider colour gamut and improved contrast that comes with the PS4 Pro’s support for HDR – I wasn’t able to test this in my home (my Samsung display offers only an HDR effect, which isn’t true HDR) but I’ve seen it in action at several Sony demonstrations prior to the PS4 Pro’s launch, and it noticeably increases detail in dark images and while making colourful scenes more vivid and lifelike – and the PS4 Pro very nearly feels like a jump in generations.
I’ve tested several games deemed PS4 Pro “ready” – meaning that, to one degree or another, they’ve been designed to take advantage of the hardware’s extra muscle – ranging from to a couple of upcoming games I’m not yet allowed to talk about, and the graphical improvements are immediately evident.
The cover art and packaging of games has also been changed to reflect the redesign.
The Play Station 3 is convex on its left side, with the Play Station logo upright, when vertical (the top side is convex when horizontal) and has a glossy black finish.
Anything major would have been substantially larger. It must be set at 1-4 in order for it to work - if your controller ends up as number 5 or higher, Minecraft won't see it. Don't know what to tell you - I'm current on the updates and play split-screen almost daily, most recently last night. I haven't yet had a version that didn't work for split-screen.
Don't have the time or patience to track down what was fixed, so I will wait for someone to post something meaningful later. See forgot how i fixed this it had something to do with being a guest, the second player would be Death_Dealer(1) and so on... We have more than four potential players and five controllers in the house, so we HAVE run into a controller being assigned #5 or higher and just not working, which is why I pointed that out - even if you only have two players, a controller numbered higher than 4 just doesn't work within Minecraft.
