My webcam freeze frames on the first image it sees, and incoming audio/video just skips like a broken CD. I believe this problem occured directly after the latest flash update.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling flash, uninstalling reinstall chrome, different browers..the problem only exists in adobe flash.
Yes, Microsoft makes webcams that are Mac OS compatible.
When Windows 7/Vista was released, UVC compatibility was now built into Win OS making the myriad of vendor and model-specific webcam drivers a thing of the past.
HD webcams supporting 2MP and higher sensor resolutions perform well with the horsepower current computers in the Apple Macintosh line.
But be aware there are still some older Mac OSX video apps and web chat programs currently don't know how - or aren't programmed - to sense or support higher HD webcam resolutions and different 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratios.
Logitech Webcam Software allows you to capture images and record videos from your system's webcam.
It has a simple user interface that is intuitive, but on the downside you cannot add any video effects to your recordings.
Logitech Webcam Software is a great application if you own a Logitech webcam and want to benefit from all the features of the hardware.
The application only supports Logitech USB cameras and provides various functions for using your device to its maximum capability.
You also need a VERY FAST internet connection for smooth 720p HD webcam chat online.
Because of Logitech's support for Mac and their HD still image and video capture apps for OSX, these three UVC compliant web cameras in the - price range offer the most functionality for Macintosh users on Intel Mac models.
